Cancellation Policy

At Cabo Verde Diving, we aim to provide smooth and enjoyable experiences for all our guests. To help us plan and operate efficiently, please review our cancellation policy below.

General Terms

  • All cancellations or changes must be made in writing via email, Whatsapp or confirmed over the phone.
  • The timeframes below are based on the local time of our dive center.
  • Cancellations made within 24 hours of the booking are non-refundable, except in the case of medical emergencies. To be eligible for a full refund due to medical reasons, an official medical certificate must be presented, dated and signed by a local licensed medical professional.

Snorkeling & Fun Diving Trips

  • Free Cancellation: Up to 24 hours before the trip.
  • 100% Charge: For cancellations made less than 24 hours before the trip or no-shows.

Diving Courses

  • Free Cancellation: Up to 24 hours before the course start time.
  • 100% Charge: For cancellations within 24 hours of the course start or no-shows.
  • Note: If eLearning codes or materials have already been issued, their cost is non-refundable under any circumstances.

Rescheduling

  • Rescheduling is allowed free of charge up to 24 hours before your trip or course start time.
    All changes are subject to availability.
  • Rescheduling within 24 hours is considered a cancellation and will incur full charges.

Weather & Safety

  • In the event we must cancel due to weather or safety concerns, you will be offered the option to reschedule or at the latest a full refund.

Group Bookings & Private Charters (4+ guests)

  • Full payment is required in advance to confirm group bookings and private charters.
  • Free Cancellation: Up to 48 hours before the scheduled activity.
  • 100% Charge: For cancellations made less than 48 hours prior. Individual medical certificates are required for any exceptions.

Cancellations or No-Dives After Boarding

  • Once a diver has boarded the dive boat, no refunds will be issued, regardless of whether the diver completes the dive.
  • This includes cases of seasickness or personal discomfort. We strongly recommend that guests prone to motion sickness take necessary precautions before boarding.
